Good working swather with cold A/C 134A electronic ignition. We purchased the swather with 1400 hours. It has a Chrystler slant 6 gas engine, and the hour meter is showing 2400 hours. We have owned the swather since the early 90's and I believe that the unit is a 1986 or 1988. Up for sale is a 6650 Hesston swather/windrower. I also have a 1014 parts swather I need to sell. It's had a lot of work done to it since I've owned it and it runs great. It worked great for me for years, I bought a new swather when I moved otherwise I would still be using it. Check over the conditioner roll drive, that one #60 chain is doing a lot of work at a high rate of speed. If you want to bale dry hay, you WILL need a tedder to spread the windrows.

I figured them to be underrated in their day, they worked very well for me. One had been totaled out in an accident, then repaired. They have a narrow conditioner, there is no way to get a wide windrow for better drying. Good or not today depends on condition, and if you are trying to get hay dry. Good machine in their day, but it could be 30 years old.
